Yasmine’s love for beauty began at just twelve years old, doing makeup for friends and family, and that early passion has shaped her entire career. After graduating from her esthetician program in 2017, she quickly became a sought-after freelance makeup artist in Chicago, specializing in bridal and editorial work. In 2019, her entrepreneurial spirit led her to launch her own cosmetics line, further cementing her place in the industry. Today, she brings her skill, creativity, and genuine love for the craft into her role as an Elleebana Educator, and we sat down with her to chat about her beauty journey and what this role truly means to her.

Can you tell us a little about your background and experience in the beauty industry?

I have been an esthetician since 2017. I’ve freelanced as a makeup artist before joining the world of lashes in 2021, when I accepted the position as a Lash Artist at a local salon. I quickly fell in love and decided to open my own private studio, which I owned and operated for 4 years before joining the Elleebana family. I specialized in custom lash extension design and developed a consultation experience that became highly sought after. I then created a guide and e-book that I sold online to other lash artists, to teach them how to implement the same high quality experience for their own businesses.

What inspired you to become a lash and brow trainer?

After having worked both in a salon and privately for a few years, I quickly realized how much misinformation was out there. I saw it in forums as well as how it affects clients who would come in with damaged lashes or report of poor experiences within the lash and brow industry. From what I was seeing, most of these issues could have been avoided. I felt there was something missing from the industry and so became ‘The Ultimate Consultation Guide’ that I created, complete with video tutorials and visual aids. Once I saw how big of an impact that it was making, I felt like training was my next call and I started to look for ways I could continue to make a positive impact on the industry.

What excites you most about being an Elleebana USA Master Educator?

The impact! I am really passionate about this industry and I know first-hand how the right training and support can change someone’s life. I believe that the Elleebana team shares the same heart, so when this opportunity came about, I did not hesitate. Elleebana has already made such a positive impact with their innovative products and education, I love that I’m able to contribute to that effort.

What’s your favorite part of teaching lash and brow professionals?

My favorite part of teaching new students is watching how much they improve over time, and how this bolsters their inner confidence as not only an artist but as an individual as well. Watching a student transform from unsure of what to do into being proud of themselves for completing the course and seeing their hard work reflected in photos – is priceless to me. I hope that all my students finish their courses knowing that if they can apply themselves in learning these skills, that they can apply themselves to achieve anything they want in life.

What can students expect from your training sessions?

My students can expect to have a comprehensive learning experience that sets them up for success in the world of lashes and brows. They will walk away well equipped with all the right tools and information to be stellar artists in this industry.
